Bröderna Lundström utvecklade Gustaf Erik Paschs idéer och lanserade den världsberömda säkerhetständstickan. De grundade Jönköpings tändsticksfabrik som blev väldigt framgångsrik. Efter ett tag mekaniserades tillverkningen och tändstickorna tillverkades i stora mängder. I många länder kallas tändstickorna för ”svenska tändstickor” än idag.

Bröderna Lundström såg till att den svenska tändstickan erövrade världen. Johan Edvard Lundström (1815-1888) utvecklade den svenske kemistens Gustaf Erik Paschs idéer och tog patent på den fosforfria säkerhetständstickan. Hans yngre bror, Carl Frans Lundström (1823-1917) var en entreprenör och företagare med djärva idéer. Ett av hans första projekt var att exportera lingon, blodiglar och levande tjädrar till England.
